Another week closer to my vacation scheme, another week full of preparation! As I left off in my previous post, I had a couple of areas that I was hoping to gain insight into throughout the week – primarily, how I'm going to be assessed and how to best come across on a virtual scheme.

I feel like I’ve been mentally preparing for my vacation scheme ever since I got the offer back at the beginning of 2021. At that time, the scheme itself seemed as though it couldn’t be further away. I had endless time to prepare – almost too much! However, the months have been passing quickly this year and, all of a sudden, we’re now well into May. 

It’s now the night before my virtual vacation scheme – a notion that has been entirely distant until this point. The reality has started to set in. I’m not sure how I expected to feel, but instead of felling apprehensive, I feel an excitement and almost impatience to finally engage with the life that I’ve been striving towards.
