The Bar Council represents a profession that is committed to ensuring that merit alone dictates who is able to join the Bar, and that your background is no barrier. Contrary to popular belief, it is the very cleverest who become barristers, not the very richest. At the Bar Council, we work hard to ensure that all students have access to the information, advice and guidance they need to reach an informed decision about whether a career at the Bar is right for them and which area of the law they are most suited too.
