With our broad geographic and practice platform, trainees will find wide-ranging professional opportunities as they start their legal careers at Greenberg Traurig. We use creativity to educate – and ultimately empower our new lawyers. In addition to our mentoring programs, we provide our new associates with high-level training in client management, business development, collaboration, and cultural skills. Our success hinges on our ability to develop a class of lawyers who can adapt to our clients’ emerging needs, and through entrepreneurship and rewarding initiative we provide our incoming attorneys with the resources necessary to meet that goal.
We empower lawyers at all levels to shape their own careers. Our recruiting program is designed to identify students who are eager to create their own opportunities and encourage them to seek new areas of practice that excite them.
The Solicitors Qualification Exam (SQE) is the new route to qualification for solicitors in England and Wales. Prospective solicitors are required to pass this new centralised assessment which is divided into two stages, SQE1 (functioning legal knowledge) and SQE2 (legal skills) prior to starting your two years' qualifying work experience with GT.
Although it’s no longer a regulatory requirement by the SRA, all non-law prospective trainees will still be required to complete the PGDL before commencing the SQE.
We will provide trainees with a complete training programme to complete their SQE1 and 2 studies prior to starting their training contract with us. We also provide an additional preparation for practice course which enables you to focus on your transition from academic study to legal practice.
From the start, we have believed that diverse viewpoints drive innovation and produce smarter ideas for our clients. Diversity is more than a core value: diversity is in our DNA. In 1967, our founders, faced with religious discrimination, established a new kind of law firm where everyone was welcomed.
Our diversity, equity and inclusion roadmap is comprehensive, strategic, and proactive. We continuously strive to reach short-term actionable goals that drive long-term change.
We offer full funding for the SQE and PGDL courses via our preferred training provider. We will also provide a maintenance grant of £17,000 to support you during your studies.
