WCAN is dedicated to the personal and professional development of Black women. Its members have access to mentorship, training and support for CVs, cover letters and interviews, networking events, workshops, conferences, fast-tracking with its sponsor firms, personal development sessions, socials and more. Its mentorship programme has been designed to pair aspiring Black female lawyers with a mentor to help them achieve their professional goals and climb the ladder.
The young social enterprise has a number of corporate partners, including Clifford Chance, Slaughter and May, Reed Smith and Taylor Wessing, and works with universities, incuding the London School of Economics, the University of Nottingham and BPP University Law School.
Its Spring Law Conference 2023 is a great opportunity for Black women looking to secure vacation schemes and training contracts to network with top law firms, engage with Black lawyers and learn how to ace an interview.
