The Sutton Trust is the leading organisation in the social mobility space in the UK, funding educational opportunities for children and young people from non-privileged backgrounds with the aim to improve access to high-quality education and employment opportunities.
The trust says its programmes "are completely free to attend" with all costs "including travel, accommodation, food and activities" covered by them. The trust works in partnership with universities and employers to run programmes that support high-attaining students from lower-income families, including the Pathways to Law programmes, apprenticeship summer school and UK summer schools. Around 5,000 young people from across the UK attend a Sutton Trust programme each year.
