The Government Legal Service (GLS) has 45 trainee solicitor and pupil barrister vacancies.
The majority of the posts will begin in September 2018. There are a smaller number of vacancies which will start in September 2016 and September 2017.
The vacancies are available within the following government departments:
Trainees and pupils are involved in the full range of casework conducted by their department, which often includes high profile matters. This will be under the supervision of senior colleagues.
The legal work is complex, novel, politically sensitive and frequently in the public eye. It ranges across issues of national and international significance and across public and private law, embracing advisory and legislative work, litigation and a wealth of specialist areas.
It’s a terrific responsibility.
As a trainee solicitor or pupil barrister within the GLS, it’s a responsibility you could share.
