Vacancy description

Successful candidates will undertake case preparation working on criminal law files, as well as dealing with extradition and confiscation cases.

Key responsibilities include:

• file and office administration;
• securing legal aid funding;
• keeping clients fully updated with case progress;
• perusal of case papers;
• attending client conferences/prison visits;
• taking clients’ instructions; and
• ensuring that all steps necessary for the proper preparation of cases are taken.

Selection criteria:

• Degree or equivalent
• Paralegal experience (essential)
• Police station accreditation (desirable)
• Previous experience of working for a criminal law firm (desirable)
• Extradition law experience (desirable)
