Vacation schemes moved online

Summer vacation schemes at Simmons & Simmons and Akin Gump will go ahead virtually this year. The virtual programme at Simmons & Simmons will take place across four days and will include networking opportunities, interactive exercises, and wellbeing sessions.
Akin Gump’s virtual scheme will remain a two-week programme. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Eversheds said: “Our summer vacation programme will go ahead and we are currently exploring how we can deliver this as a virtual experience for our 2020 cohort.
“We are committed to providing our students with a good insight and understanding of what it’s like to work with us, and in a very new format this year.”
