The University of Law pledges to pay back 50% of graduates’ fees if no job within nine months

The University of Law has guaranteed that its students will get 50% of their tuition fees back if they have not secured full-time employment within nine months after graduating.
The promise applies to students enrolling on the Legal Practice Course this September and will come into effect if they have not secured a “training contract or [other] full-time position” within nine months of graduating. The University of Law has said that to its knowledge, 97% of students who graduated in Summer 2014 found a training contract or other full-time employment within that timeframe, so it is confident in the employability of its graduates. The educator also cited strong relationships with law firms across the country as a factor in its confidence that University of Law graduates will find jobs.
David Johnston, University of Law’s chief executive, said: “More than just a degree, today’s students want a clear return on their investment. For law graduates, this means one thing: securing a training contract or a full-time job upon graduation. Our position as the preferred training provider to over 30 major law firms and our experience in training highly skilled law practitioners give us the confidence and the assurance that our graduates will be in employment within nine months.”
