The University of Law (ULaw) has appointed Tony King, currently director of the Clifford Chance academy, as a specialist adviser and visiting professor.
King will join the university on 1 August 2014, following his retirement from Clifford Chance. His past roles at the firm have included director of education and head of HR development, as well as his current remit at the Clifford Chance academy. King’s new position with ULaw will focus on strengthening the relationship between the university and its law firm clients; currently, more than 30 law firms have exclusive training arrangements with ULaw.
President and CEO of ULaw, John Latham, welcomed King to the university: "[King] is a pre-eminent figure in the world of legal education and training. His appointment as a special adviser is a key step forward for the university as it seeks to further strengthen its work with law firms in the United Kingdom and beyond."
