Partner salaries at Travers Smith LLP have increased by 18%, bringing average earnings to £1.3 million.
The firm had a turnover of £215 million this year, a 9% increase from the previous year, resulting in a 22% rise in profit to £77 million.
Senior partner Andrew Gillen explained that, despite the “challenging market”, the firm saw growth in several practice areas, such as disputes, corporate mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and asset management. The firm also attributed its financial growth to high-profile instructions, including conducting an independent investigation into the debanking of Farage, acting for Zegona Communications in its €5 billion acquisition of Vodafone Spain and representing Sports Direct in a competition law dispute with Newcastle United Football Club.
