The 15-strong intake of trainee solicitors at Knights LLP have all been recruited from the firm’s paralegal workforce.
As reported by Lawyer2B, Knights has just recruited seven new trainees exclusively from among its paralegals, in line with the policy of Clarke Willmott, which also recruits trainees from its paralegals after ending its trainee recruitment from among graduates in 2012. This is hopefully an encouraging sign for the many graduates who are working in paralegal jobs with the aim of progressing on to qualifying as solicitors.
Knights’ chief executive, David Beech said: "Our paralegals and junior lawyers not only represent the future of both our firm and the legal profession but also play a vital role in how we offer clients the best solution to their legal needs. They are a vital component to our business."
