National Student Volunteering Week kicks off on Monday 11 February, celebrating the impact students can make in the not-for-profit sector and looking at issues such as employability and public engagement.
Nick Hurd MP, minister for civil society, will host a "celebration event" on 13 February to showcase the work of student volunteers throughout the United Kingdom. Representatives from the education, public, private and voluntary sectors will be in attendance. The Student Volunteer of the Year Award will also be presented to one of five students who have been nominated.
Photos showcasing volunteers in action - 365 in total, one for each day of the year - will be displayed online. There is an initial selection already available here. For a full list of activities to get involved with during the week, click here.
