Law societies, law firm representatives and the LawCareers.Net team gathered last night on Thursday 14 March 2024 to celebrate the tenth annual LawCareers.Net Student Law Society Awards.
The purpose of the awards is to highlight the hard work of student law societies across the UK through a range of different award categories – from ‘Best society for first-year students’ to ‘Best society for mooting’.
Nominees across the 13 award categories were praised for their hard work in engaging, encouraging and providing opportunities for their members.
In 2022, LCN introduced the ‘Best society for welfare’ award, which celebrates the societies that showcased a commitment to looking after their members’ wellbeing and mental health, as well as offering career information and opportunities. The award continues to be a welcome addition for societies and firms alike.
Nominated societies were selected from the submissions of committees themselves, alongside over 1,800 votes from their members.
Bethany Wren, head of content and events at LawCareers.Net, commented: “The Student Law Society Awards is one of our favourite events at LawCareers.Net and we’re always impressed by how much students put into running their law societies.
“Now in the tenth year of the awards, it’s more clear than ever that societies are fantastic communities and legal hubs that aim to set aspiring lawyers up for the future. From running careers and social events, to supporting first-year and non-law students, we’re delighted that this year’s nominees and winning societies display such commitment for their members.”
The winners are:
