Global legal training provider QLTS School revealed its Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) preparation courses earlier in the week. The SQE is the new centralised assessments, which will be introduced by the Solicitors Regulation Authority in September 2021.
The school’s preparation courses will cover SQE1 and SQE2 and can be completed full time or part time. There are three course packages available to suit candidates from a range of backgrounds and varying levels of legal knowledge and experience in English law, including law and non-law graduates, apprentices, paralegals, chartered legal executives, and foreign-qualified lawyers.
With exam fees costing £3,890, and the QLTS School’s SQE prep course packages ranging in price from £1,500-£2,400 for SQE1 and £1,500-£2,500 for SQE2, a candidate could complete the SQE for less than £8,000 – an amount that is significantly cheaper than the Legal Practice Course (LPC).
The course materials include 18 textbooks, practice questions, revision notes, more than 5,000 digital flashcards, more than 200 videos, and 100+ legal skills video workshops, mock tests for both stages, as well as tutor support. Candidates’ activity can be tracked via the online training system, which will provide personal feedback tailored to a candidate’s individual progress and performance. All course materials can be accessed via the school’s learning management system from home, the office or on the go using either a computer, tablet or mobile.
Managing director of QLTS School Nir Chanoch said: “We have designed and developed our SQE preparation courses by benefiting from the invaluable and unique experience we have gained in our QLTS training since 2011. Our SQE programme has been built in an online environment using the latest technology and best practices in the industry. This means we are not tied down by the same costs as traditional brick and mortar LPC providers. We are therefore uniquely positioned to offer high quality and affordable training for SQE candidates which will ensure their success in the SQE assessments.”
The school’s SQE1 preparation course will launch in January 2021 with early registration open now. To kickstart their preparation, candidates can sign up for immediate access to the SQE online training system.
