City Disabilities is a new charity which has been established to help students and professionals with disabilities, as well as those who assist disabled professionals.
As reported by The Times, the charity has been founded by Robert Hunter, who is himself profoundly deaf; Hunter identifies that there can often by a significant "disconnect" between the support promised by firms and reality. The charity operates mentoring schemes, supports those seeking to enter the City and shares information from members with employers to develop best practice.
More information on City Disabilities, including information on its mentor scheme is available online.
