New award launched for law students: £5,000 and work experience on offer for winners

A new national award for law students, the Future Legal Mind award, has been launched by the National Accident Helpline.
Entry is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students who are resident in the United Kingdom and currently pursuing a legal qualification. The applicants must submit an essay of up to 1,000 words on one of the following legal questions:
- Undergraduate entrants are asked to answer: "If the justice system [was] a blank canvas and you had the power to structure it, what would you do in terms of access to justice?"
- Postgraduate students (including those on a LPC, GDL, CPE or CILEx qualification) should answer: "How do you think the provision of legal services should change over the next 10 years? How would this affect access to justice?"
Two winners (one selected from each group of candidates) will receive £5,000 towards their studies in 2015. They will also be invited to a work experience placement at the Manchester or London offices of Colemans-CCTS, as well as having the essays published on the Lawyer2B website.
The closing date for submissions is Thursday 5 February 2015; winners will be announced on 30 March 2015. Further details and the entry form can be found online.
