Metro Bank has launched a professional studies loan scheme for postgraduate students, available initially only to students at the University of Law (ULaw).
Students can borrow between £1,000 and £25,000 to cover the cost of fees and an additional 20% for living expenses, with no early repayment charges. Repayments can be deferred until up to six months after they have finished their studies. The loan is available to all full-time, part-time and online ULaw students, including those on GDL, LLM LPC and BPTC courses.
John Latham, provost and CEO at ULaw, said: "As the [United Kingdom’s] leading law school, we recognise that it’s not always easy to find the financial support needed to study. This Metro Bank scheme underlines our commitment to provide students with the best opportunities to enter the legal services sector."
