The 32nd annual Bar and Young Bar Conference is to take place this year on Saturday 4 November, where attendees will hear from leading experts, including the shadow Brexit secretary Keir Starmer on topical issues ranging from Brexit to how to guard client confidentiality against cyber-attacks.
Other issues up for discussion at the conference include diversity in the legal profession, court reforms and fixed recoverable costs. A number of legal luminaries will speak at the event. In addition to the former director of public prosecutions and current Labour front bencher Keir Starmer, Max Hill QC, the independent reviewer of terrorism legislation, Susan Acland-Hood, the chief executive of the Courts and Tribunals Service and leading legal thinker Professor Richard Susskind OBE are among those on the bill.
A full programme of the talks and details of how to attend are on the event’s website.
