The nominees for the sixth annual Student Law Society Awards have been revealed, after LawCareers.Net received 42 submissions from presidents and committees and nearly 2,400 submissions from society members.
The 2020 Student Law Society Awards is sponsored by BARBRI and aims to highlight the fantastic work of student law societies at universities all over the UK. There are 13 individual award categories (see list below) which celebrate the best societies for everything from pro bono activities, to supporting first-year law students and increasing diversity.
This year the ‘Best society for commercial awareness’ award was introduced to commend the societies doing unparalleled work supporting their members in developing this vital skill.
The awards ceremony will take place at 116 Pall Mall on Thursday 12 March 2020 and will bring together representatives from the prestigious sponsor firms and nominated student law societies.
