Kaplan and FFW launch diversity scheme

updated on 16 November 2012

Kaplan Law School and Field Fisher Waterhouse have joined together to launch a scheme that will help students from under-represented backgrounds get ahead.

The programme (which launched yesterday) will allow those of Kaplan's GDL and LPC students who are part of any under-represented group in the legal profession to submit a CV and cover letter, and have an interview for FFW's summer vacation scheme. If they are successful at that stage, they will progress to the firm's vac scheme assessment centre with applicants who have taken the traditional route.

Amelia Spinks, FFW's graduate recruitment manager, says: "The firm is committed to recruiting the best talent and this scheme ensures we continue to do this. Students will have the opportunity to gain invaluable first-hand experience of working in a law firm. Those that impress stand a real chance of being awarded a training contract offer."
