One of the country’s biggest insurance companies, LV= (the trading name of Liverpool Victoria since 2007) has announced its entry into legal services.
The insurer has partnered with national firm Lyons Davidson to launch LV=Legal Services, which, as the Law Society Gazette reports, is to provide legal advice on wills, probate, power of attorney, conveyancing, employment law and personal injury. Members of the public will access legal advice through an online quoting system, where they will be asked to enter relevant information before being given a fixed-fee quote for the service they need.
John O’Roarke, managing director of LV=, said: “We want to offer a customer-friendly alternative to people at a price that’s right for them and backed by a brand they can trust. Together with Lyons Davidson, LV= Legal Services will offer a transparent and affordable solution for those with a genuine need for high-quality legal service and want the security of knowing what their costs will be upfront.”
