A scam email falsely claiming that students can have part of their LPC fees paid for by a government body called True Personal Injury Solicitors is currently being circulated and should be ignored, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has warned.
The fraudulent emails are being sent from the address [email protected] and signed by a Matthew McCormak, an alleged consultant solicitor at then bogus organisation True Personal Injury Solicitors. The SRA has confirmed that the information in these emails is false and that it does not authorise a firm called True Personal Injury Solicitors. If you receive an email from the above address, be sure to ignore it.
In the interest of clarification, there is in fact a similarly named firm called True Solicitors LLP which is authorised by the SRA and has nothing to do with this email scam.
More details of the scam and further advice (should you require it) on what to do if you receive this email can be found on the SRA’s website.
