Law firms, NGOs and academics will be hosting events across the United Kingdom next week to celebrate human rights, as individuals around the world mark Human Rights Day on 10 December 2014.
The Law Society is supporting a week-long series of talks and screenings, as well as hosting its annual human rights conference on 10 December at Chancery Lane. Among the events planned, White & Case is hosting a discussion on strategic ligation in regional human rights courts and Simmons & Simmons has a breakfast presentation on community land rights. A number of presentations also focus on the Magna Carta as part of celebrations for its 800th anniversary.
Further information on the events, including details of how to sign up to attend, can be found on the Law Society’s website.
