Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW) has launched a Global Lawyers Challenge, the prize for which is a full day at HFW's Paris, Athens or Geneva office over the course of a two-night stay.
The two-part challenge emphasises the international nature of HFW's training contract, which currently sees all trainees complete at least one seat in an international office.
To complete the first stage of the challenge, entrants must submit a short statement of no more than 400 words discussing "what it means to be a truly global lawyer". Following this, 10 finalists are selected to give a presentation at HFW's London office before a panel comprised of a partner, associate, trainee and a member of HR. Three winners will then be given the opportunity to spend two nights (including a placement day) in Paris, Athens or Geneva.
Those who wish to enter should email their statements to [email protected] by 28 February 2014.
Sarah Burson, HFW's graduate recruitment and development manager, said: "We've never had a problem attracting top quality trainees, but this year we thought we would raise the bar and set a challenge that will emphasise the international nature of our training contract in a fun and exciting way. With the firm's international network of 14 offices, the opportunity for trainees to travel and gain experience of different business cultures is very real - we want to attract individuals who are going to grasp those opportunities with enthusiasm and commitment."
