Gowling WLG (UK) LLP is looking at opening an office in Leeds.
The international law firm has confirmed it’s in discussions to expand its housing development and regeneration practice to the city, as reported by Insider Media.
Gowling boasts a presence across Europe, Canada, the Middle East and Asia, and is focused on key global sectors including real estate, energy, financial services, life sciences and technology, with over 1,500 legal professionals. Its current UK offices are in London and Birmingham.
A spokesperson for Gowling WLG said: "We can confirm we are in discussions to strengthen our market-leading housing development and regeneration practice with a best-in-class team based in Leeds.
"The new team would complement and build on our existing strengths and enable us to better serve our national and northern-based residential development clients. We're not able to comment further at this stage."
