CMS will be offering 95 training contract places in the coming recruitment year, making it the second-highest training contract provider in the UK behind magic circle firm Linklaters LLP.
In previous years the firm has offered 79 places and is “delighted to be increasing the number of training contracts available” across its UK offices, according to Michael Cavers, the firm’s early talent partner.
Commenting on the 20% increase, which indicates a strong recruitment market, Cavers says: “The firm is in a strong position which has allowed us to expand our trainee programme and invest in a strong pipeline of talented trainees. This will support the continued growth of the firm and our ambition to be the leading future facing law firm.”
Legal Cheek’s ‘Firms Most List’ reveals that Clifford Chance, Allen & Overy LLP and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP offer 90, 85 and 80 training contracts, respectively.
