Foot Anstey will launch a new training programme from September 2014, which allows candidates to qualify while working.
The regional firm - with offices in Bristol, Plymouth and Exeter - plans to recruit 20 people initially, including both graduates and non-graduates. Foot Anstey is yet to confirm whether those in the academy will qualify via the LPC or CILEx route. The firm's announcement comes at a time when the SRA is considering reform to the current education and training system and seeking feedback on its policy paper, Training for Tomorrow.
Managing partner, John Westwell, said: "Our approach will be progressive…There will be a rewarding career structure: the options are many – it isn’t just a case of doing what the profession has done for many years, either on the trainee solicitor or paralegal front."
