Finalists have been announced for the prestigious National Paralegal Awards, which set out to find the best paralegals in the UK and businesses that support the legal industry.
These professional legal awards, now in their third year, are the only awards dedicated to rewarding and recognising the outstanding work of paralegals and law firms that support the development of the paralegal profession.
The categories are sponsored by a variety of businesses that work within the legal sector, including Dentons and Trowers & Hamlins, and legal membership organisations. This year there are three new categories and the headline sponsor is Right Legal Group.
The 19 categories comprise of the following awards:
Due to covid-19, the awards ceremony will be held virtually on Thursday 23 September 2021, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The event is free for finalists, sponsors, judges and their guests to join.
It will be followed by a winner's lunch on Monday 18 October at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in the City of London, which is exclusive for the winners and sponsors of the National Paralegal Awards 2021. Apart from the winners receiving their trophies in person from the sponsors, there will be an opportunity to hear from speakers and network.
Rita Leat, managing director of the Professional Paralegal Register (PPR) who hosts the awards said in a YouTube video: “We had a very difficult year last year and we always intended not to make the paralegal awards particularly an event that was for profit, the idea is and always has been to celebrate the work that paralegals do and to celebrate what you do.”
This year’s finalists can be found via the National Paralegal Awards’ website.
