Fieldfisher merges with Spanish firm Jausas

International firm Fieldfisher has today merged with Spanish full-service firm Jausas to add offices in Barcelona and Madrid.

Jausas is a top-30 Spanish firm and last year had a turnover of €8.5 million (£7.6 million). The new additions will bring Fieldfisher’s total number of offices to 24.

The firm will practise as Fieldfisher Jausas in Spain and will operate under a Swiss Verein model. Its key practice areas include corporate, competition, life sciences, litigation and arbitration, tax, employment, and IP.

Michael Chissick, managing partner of Fieldfisher, said: "Spain has one of the fastest growing economies in Europe and is the fourth largest economy in the Eurozone. It's where an increasing number of our clients are doing business and where we have for some time been looking to establish offices in line with our strategy to be in all the major commercial centres of Europe.”
