Two mergers went live on 1 February. Howard Kennedy and Finers Stephen Innocent have rebranded to become HowardKennedyFsi following their merger, while Oxford firm Henmans has merged with leading regional firm Freeth Cartwright to become Henmans Freeth.
HowardKennedyFsi chief executive Mark Dembovsky described the newly-merged firm's ambition to grow into a leading service provider to high-net-worth clients and businesses, and assured The Lawyer that the firm is in "good financial health".
In an interview with The Business Magazine, Henmans Freeth managing partner Sarah Foster said: "Although we have rebranded as Henmans Freeth, it is part of the group's strategy that each office retains a high degree of autonomy in the services it offers and the way it organises itself. We are the same people, based in the same place, and doing the same job for our clients - the biggest advantage is that we now have access to the extra resources, investment and opportunities that being part of a bigger, national group provides."
