Edwin Coe and Mosaic launch legal ambassadors programme

updated on 06 November 2012

Medium-sized London commercial law firm Edwin Coe has teamed up with Mosaic, a support organisation for the career aspirations of young people from disadvantaged communities, to establish a legal ambassadors programme. The scheme is designed to elevate the aspirations and enhance the career prospects of its 15 law undergraduate participants.

The 15 students, chosen from different London universities, will be mentored by Edwin Coe solicitors over the course of an academic year. In addition to general mentoring and support, the programme also includes three key seminars, to be conducted by Edwin Coe, on CV preparation, interview technique and practical learning through mock interviews.

One of Mosaic's key policies is to encourage undergraduates to take volunteering opportunities, partly on the grounds that employers look favourably on candidates with a strong track record of volunteering. Therefore, as part of the legal ambassadors programme, selected students will be expected to undertake volunteer work through one of Mosaic's primary or secondary school programmes.

The programme is open to first and second year law undergraduates. Those interested should send their CVs to [email protected] by Friday 30 November.
