Fat Race Films, a production company specialising in documentaries on social justice and human rights, is crowdfunding for a short animated film about the devastating impact of the cuts to legal aid.
Seeking to heighten awareness of the negative impact of the cuts, the film Legal Aid Team! will be broadcast at the beginning of April in the run up to the general election. The production company has secured The Guardian as its exclusive media partner; it aims to release the film on the website’s front page on 1 April (the birthday of justice secretary and lord chancellor, Chris Grayling) to take advantage of the large online audience and “alter the narrative around legal aid”.
More information on the film, including details on how to contribute to the project, can be found online.
