City firms work together on new lawtech appstore project

Twelve international City law firms have signed up to help develop a new ‘one-stop shop’ providing artificial intelligence (AI) software to lawyers.
The new lawtech appstore created by international start-up Reynen Court will provide a range of third-party AI software that lawyers can use to automate previously time-consuming tasks, while protecting firms’ and clients’ data.
As the Law Gazette reports, the firms that have agreed to advise on the project include giants from the magic circle, as well as major US-headquartered firms. They are:
- Clifford Chance;
- Covington & Burling;
- Cravath, Swaine & Moore;
- Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer;
- Gibson Dunn & Crutcher;
- Latham & Watkins;
- Linklaters;
- Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe
- Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison;
- Ropes & Gray;
- Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom; and
- White & Case.
Clifford Chance and Latham & Watkins are acting as the co-chairs for the group of firms’ work on the venture.
