Bott & Co, based in Wilmslow, Cheshire, is the latest firm to announce a plan for the recruitment of legal apprentices to join its team. The firm confirmed it will recruit 12 apprentices over the next 12 months.
Those joining the scheme will follow the civil litigation pathway of the Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services. The news comes as three fellow North-West law firms published details of their "Articled Apprenticeship" scheme earlier this month, as well as programmes announced at national firms Thomas Eggar and Eversheds in May.
CILEx Law School will deliver the training to the successful applicants, who will be in the RTA, liability, holiday sickness and flight delay departments. Managing partner of Bott & Co, Paul Hinchliffe, said: "Training and development is central to the ethos at Bott & Co. Recruiting apprentices to develop their knowledge and skills while working for the firm is a natural fit with this. With their own personal drive and ambition, those who successfully complete their apprenticeships will have the opportunity to develop their careers to become chartered legal executives or solicitors."
