International law firm Charles Russell Speechlys is collaborating with The University of Law to provide a new £5,000 scholarship for one GDL, LPC or master’s student commencing their studies at The University of Law in September.
The student awarded the new Charles Russell Speechlys private wealth scholarship will also win a place on the firm’s 2018 summer work placement scheme, where he or she will participate in live work and be introduced to a range of different practice areas. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must have a minimum of a 2:1 (or a predicted 2:1) in their undergraduate degree, a place on a University of Law postgraduate course, and be from a household whose income in the last 12 months was £25,000 or less.
Hamish Perry, graduate recruitment partner at Charles Russell Speechlys, commented: “The aim of this initiative is to support students who may not have the means to further their studies as well as recognising their hard work and achievements to date. The legal sector offers a multitude of employment opportunities and this scholarship is designed to be a helping hand to recruiting additional talent.”
Visit the University of Law’s website for more details on how to apply for the scholarship.
