The Solicitors’ Charity offers more ways than ever to support solicitors in England and Wales. The charity has revamped its support approach in favour of holistic wellbeing with an aim to improve the wellbeing of solicitors by assisting them in overcoming life’s challenges.
Solicitors can receive help from the charity for various challenges, including cost of living, money management, debt, ill health, disability, domestic violence, and anxiety related to work or life experiences.
The charity uses the following four wellbeing pillars:
The charity extends its support services to both current and former solicitors, as well as their dependents. Most wellbeing support doesn’t require financial eligibility checks; proof of current or previous registration with the Solicitors Regulation Authority suffices.
The CEO of the charity, Nick Gallagher, highlighted a shift in perception: “You may not have thought of ‘wellbeing support’ and ‘The Solicitors’ Charity’ in the same breath. However, things have changed.”
