The new edition of The LawCareers.Net Handbook: The Training Contract & Pupillage Guide (formerly known as The Training Contract & Pupillage Handbook) is now available to readers.
Essential reading for all those pursuing a legal career, the Handbook should be your ultimate guide to the various paths into the profession, offering in-depth advice and insights into what it takes to become a lawyer.
Featuring profiles of dozens of solicitors and barristers, we’ve outlined their specific practice areas and expertise, interviewed recruiters at a range of firms and profiled past vacation scheme attendees in the ‘Insider reports’ section. There is also vital information on application and interview technique, commercial awareness and how to research your future employers.
And, of course, there are the details of 800 firms offering over 5,000 training contracts and 190 chambers offering 390 pupillages.
Copies will be available at university careers services and law departments over the next week, as well as from the LCN team at law fairs this autumn. You will also be able to purchase the Handbook online shortly.
Make a trip to your law faculty, careers service or law fair to secure your copy. And remember – the Handbook is best used in tandem with LCN, so familiarise yourself with the Jobs page and training contract search, and sign up for MyLCN, which allows you to manage your applications online.
