Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) has been given conditional approval to deliver its new Bar course from September 2020 by the Bar Standards Board (BSB).
MMU’s Bar Training Course will be taught by an experienced training team of barristers and solicitors with connections to the Northern Circuit. The university said: “We’ve built strong and lasting links with the legal profession, both locally and across the Northern Circuit, giving you access to mentoring, advice and networking opportunities.”
A BSB spokesperson said: “We are pleased to conditionally authorise Manchester Metropolitan University to deliver the vocational component of Bar training. This brings the number of providers up to nine, meaning that from September 2020 students will have more choice than ever before”.
