updated on 26 November 2013

BPP University has been named Education Investor Higher/Professional Education Provider of the year 2013 by a panel that included the Department of Education, Universities UK and the Confederation of British Industry.

BPP Law School was important in winning the accolade, with 31 international and City firms now choosing to exclusively send their trainees to complete the LPC at BPP. The law school has also been praised for the successful launch of its MA (LPC with Business) course and its ‘career guarantee’ that entitles any LPC or BPTC graduate who has been unable to secure a training contract or pupillage to study an additional qualification worth up to £16,500 for free. BPP also runs a range of pro bono projects that have won several awards in recent years.

Professor Carl Lygo, chief executive of BPP and the law school’s vice chancellor, said:  “The fact that this award was judged by leaders in business, the government and the representative body of UK Universities speaks volumes about the quality we strive to maintain at BPP…Our approach is to promote excellence in professional education by being forward thinking, progressive and innovative. We bridge the gap between education and professional practice, making our graduates exceptionally employable and helping de-risk the considerable investment required for higher education.”
