BPP Law School has announced the introduction of £84,000 worth of scholarships and pupillage support for its Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) programmes taught at its London, Leeds and Manchester centres.
The funds are aimed at rewarding excellence and social justice, as well as the promotion of the Bar outside London. Applications are open for BPP's excellence, pro bono, social outreach and inclusion awards are now open, with 18 March set as the closing date. Follow the link to apply for scholarships.
Students already in receipt of an Inns scholarship are still eligible to apply for BPTC funding unless the Inns scholarship exceeds £10,000. It is also permitted to apply for more than one award, though each student may only receive one scholarship.
BPP's principal and chief executive, Professor Carl Lygo, said: "BPP is absolutely committed to giving all of its Bar students the best possible chance of success in this competitive market and it shows in the results - we have around one fifth of students studying for the Bar here at BPP in our centres in London, Leeds and Liverpool, yet they go on to win over a third of pupillages in chambers across the country."
