The BLD Foundation (BLD) has announced that applications are now open for its Legal Launch Pad (LLP) Programme, running from January to September 2015.
The BLD aims to advance education among black, Asian and other ethnic minorities and those from disadvantaged backgrounds in the United Kingdom. As well as the LLP programme, the foundation runs the Legal Gateway Scheme which focuses on those interested in pursuing a career in law. The LLP scheme runs over nine months; it involves training, mentoring and networking for those wanting to become lawyers. To be eligible to apply, students must be in the second year of a law degree, the final year of a non-law degree or a postgraduate (studying the GDL or LPC, for example) in the United Kingdom.
Applications close on 15 November 2014 at 3:00pm and students can submit their application online. To hear more about the opportunities on offer, listen to LLP programme alumni talk about their experience on the BLD website.
