BBC to hire more legal apprentices in 2016

updated on 09 December 2015

The BBC’s legal apprentice programme is running again after a successful launch in 2014 – the corporation is currently seeking three apprentices to join its London offices and one apprentice to join its Salford site.

The BBC programme pays apprentices a salary of £12,000 as they work toward recognised legal qualifications while simultaneously building up valuable work experience. The route is ideal for those put off by the high costs involved in going to university.

The apprentices will start in September 2016 and will be given half a day’s study leave each week to keep up with the academic components of the programme. The work itself will involve assisting the BBC’s lawyers as they conduct cases, transactions and projects.

Applications will open in March 2016 to school leavers who have completed their A levels or equivalent and have gained A-C grades at maths and English at GCSE level. You can find out more and apply (when the system opens) here
