BARBRI has launched its International Home Study Programme, offering candidates the chance to study over 10 months (rather than the traditional six) its US bar exam course, which is tailored specifically for non-US trained law graduates and lawyers.
The longer course is designed to allow for greater flexibility, acknowledging that many who do the course are also working full or part-time. The longer course requires 10-15 hours of study per week, rather than 20-30 hours per week for the six-month course.
Both home study courses include the same materials as the classroom series – ie, online lectures from US law school professors and a “personal study plan” – but also include simulated exams, textbooks and other printed materials, and access to a dedicated support contact. The courses will begin in September 2016.
Sarah Hutchinson, managing director or BARBRI International, said: "We understand that passing a US bar exam greatly expands [international candidates’] career opportunities and consequently worked to devise an option that accommodates their busy lives while still providing the in-depth review for which BARBRI International is known. The 10-month programme accomplishes that."
