Legal education provider BARBRI has launched its 12-week Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) SQE2 preparation course.
The programme will be offered at least twice annually leading up to the SQE2 assessments, with plans to run the first course in January 2022. BARBRI alumni can expect to pay fees starting at £2,999, while the standard fees start at £3,499.
SQE2 Prep offers candidates “practitioner expertise in practical transactions and legal skills.”
The launch follows the success of BARBRI’s SQE1 Prep, which helped to prepare more than 400 students for the first SQE1 assessment in November 2021.
Lucie Allen, BARBRI’s managing director said: “We are proud to announce our plans for SQE2 Prep and to give candidates a clear insight into how we can help them prepare for this exam. We appreciate that due to its multiple elements, there have been some initial concerns from candidates around the difficulty of this critical second portion of the SQE. However, we’ve helped candidates to prepare for this style of practical skills assessment in England and Wales ahead of the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme (QLTS) exams and we will utilise this expertise to support candidates throughout the entire process.”
Allen added: “We would encourage those who sat the SQE1 exam this November to delve straight into SQE2 as they will already be in the flow of studying and the foundations acquired through SQE1 will provide the necessary stepping stone for succeeding on the SQE2. We also appreciate that some candidates, including LPC graduates, can now progress immediately to SQE2. So, alongside all SQE2 resources, we will also be providing access to SQE1 materials to offer these individuals additional support should they need it. Our mission is to help prepare all BARBRI candidates for the SQE with confidence and we look forward to seeing this course in action in the New Year.”
The education provider’s diversity initiative BARBRI Bridges will also support candidates by offering access to a range of scholarships and preparation course placements.
