The BBC is opening applications for three in-house training contracts at the beginning of March.
The three training contracts will commence in September 2015 and trainees will start on a salary of £25,000. Applicants will need to have completed the LPC by this date, while Legal Cheek has revealed that that the BBC will not be reimbursing its trainees’ course fees. The training contracts will encompass intellectual property and commercial law seats, as well as time spent with the BBC’s rights, legal and business affairs team and at one of its associated law firms.
Alison Neil, the BBC’s legal learning and development manager, commented: "We will be looking for those candidates who can show at interview why they are interested in training in-house rather than at any private practice law firm, and who understand what a legal in-house career is about."
