Addleshaw Goddard and DAC Beachcroft report significant growth

Addleshaw Goddard saw double-digit growth for the financial year ending April 2024, with turnover growing by 12% on the previous year to £495.6 million.

Meanwhile, the law firm's profits jumped 14% to £210.5 million. The Middle East saw takings rise by 28%, Europe’s earnings increased by 24% and there was an 11% income boost in the UK. However, Ireland experienced the largest growth, with revenue expanding by more than 30% in the past year.

Addleshaw Goddard’s headcount has also grown  by 6%, with  new offices launched in Riyadh and Madrid. Newly appointed managing partner Andrew Johnston said the results show that the firm is “continuing” its “positive trajectory with higher revenues, improved profitability and strong cash position”.

Johnston added: “Addleshaw Goddard’s continued momentum and strong balance sheet places us well to invest further in key markets, practice areas and sectors globally.”

Meanwhile, DAC Beachcroft LLP also reported a high turnover of £326.5 million and a profit before tax of £71 million, as the firm exceeded its financial targets for 2023/24. It hasattributed its success to its core sector approach, including insurance, health, real estate, technology and financial services.

In 2023, DAC Beachcroft expanded internationally with new offices in Milan, Rome and Buenos Aires, with 2024 seeing the firm’s launch in Peru. Speaking of these investments, the firm’s managing partner David Pollitt explained that they’re “yielding promising returns” as the firm looks towards “more exciting international projects in the pipeline” for the 2025 financial year. Pollitt added that the firm’s ambition "is to be the place where talented people want to work".
