A number of firms' work placement schemes have been shortlisted for the annual National Council for Work Experience (NCWE) Awards.
Now in their ninth year, the NCWE Awards recognise organisations from all sectors and of all sizes that provide exceptional student and graduate internships. Six law firms - Farrer & Co LLP, Field Fisher Waterhouse, Linklaters, Nabarro LLP, Shearman & Sterling (London) LLP and Simmons & Simmons LLP - are on the shortlist for a new category which covers the legal sector.
Jane Drew, trainee resources manager at Nabarro, adds: "It's exciting to be shortlisted for these awards, not just because they recognise the good work that Nabarro and other law firms are doing in this area, but because they draw attention to the benefits of internships at a time when they can give young people a valuable edge when they enter the workplace."
The awards will be announced on 20 March at a ceremony in London by Dr Paul Redmond from the University of Liverpool.
