Pannone offers scholarship for CoL’s 2-year LLB

updated on 26 January 2012

Pannone has become the first firm to offer a scholarship for The College of Law’s new two-year LLB degree programme, which launches in September.

The award, of £3,000 per year for two years, is open to students who have accepted a place to study the LLB at the CoL’s Chester centre and is in addition to the existing 10 £3,000 LLB scholarships funded by the CoL. The recipient of the award will also be granted a week-long work experience placement at Pannone.

Andrea Cohen, training partner with Pannone said: "Fees have become a real issue for many undergraduate students and it is important to make funding available for talented individuals if they are not to be deterred from applying. It is also vital for aspiring young lawyers to gain real, hands-on work experience during their degrees. The Pannone Scholarship is designed to achieve both these aims and we have selected The College of Law’s law degree programme as the one which will generate graduates who will be more fit and ready for work in a law firm environment on graduation.”
