The Association of Women Solicitors recently hosted its annual awards, celebrating the success of women solicitors in business.
Sponsored by Wesleyan and Lloyds TSB, the winners were announced on 8 September 2011. They included Lucy Scott-Moncrieff of Scott-Moncrieff & Associates LLP for Best Woman Solicitor Managing a Legal Aid Practice and Juliya Arbisman of Clifford Chance LLP for Best Woman Solicitor undertaking Pro Bono Work. Recognised for her work "developing and retaining legal talent” was Allison Page of DLA Piper.
Joy Van Cooten, chairwoman of the association, said: "The judges this year were delighted at the number and strength of applications from successful businesswomen from all walks of legal life."
